Come Sit Down...

Elizabeth has a story to tell.....

My friend Elizabeth  has faced many struggles in her life, the most recent was the lost of her significant other last year in a tragic traffic accident.  It has been my pleasure to come to know Liz in an even deeper friendship through scrapbooking and photography.  Each month I watch as she prepares beautiful keepsake albums....FOR OTHERS.  To my knowledge, every album that she has created has been given away in love to others.

Today I wanted to share Liz's story of one of her blessings....

"At the workshop today, I finished a scrapbook that I was doing for a lady that is a very special person to me; she is a Foster Mom.

As a foster Mom she encouraged her grandson and her foster son to start a mime ministry, called the Gospel Warriors.  While I was visiting with her one day I saw quite a few photos stuck in frames and stacked in boxes.  Loving my scrapbooking hobby,  I mentioned to her that she should put them in albums and she replyed..... maybe one day...

That's when I offered to do it for her as a gift.

Time passes and life's events happen.

This foster mother lost her

            daughter and  grandson

in a house fire last year!

I delivered the book to her yesterday

and as she was looking at it and thanking

me all the sudden she teared up.

It seems she did not have any pictures of

that grandson as a mime but in the album

that I'd done...there was one!

It made me feel so good, actually I felt

blessed, that I not only captured my

memories but those of someone

else's that they though were lost

forever."

The impact that Elizabeth has continues

strong as she sings, reads and

continues taking photos to

scrapbooking the memories for the future

generations.  She hopes that one day she

can visit the Holy Land ~ won't that be an

awesome album!

She is one special lady that loves to serve others and says,  "I know the true meaning

of being wealthy and it  has nothing to do with money or possessions.   To be loved

unconditionally by an awesome God,  to be able to worship Him freely,  having a loving

family, and true friends to connect with....that's ME  in a nutshell."

Elizabeth ~

What an honor it is for me to call you my friend ~
